Oaxaca brims with vibrant experiences for Mexico travelers. Our journeys there usually include the wonders of Oaxaca City and the valleys that surround it, the jungle highlands, and the enchanting undeveloped central coastland (above). You will walk the streets, eat your way through the markets, and explore the backstreets of Oaxaca City and the small towns around….then relax on one of the best Old Mexico beaches.
All around Oaxaca there are options for experiences including:
- Remote ruins and history
- Local festivals including Day of the Dead
- Local cooking made real as you learn to make ethnic foods
- Seeing local artisans close up
- All kinds of crafts and art including wool weavers, pottery, etc
- The incredible foods of Oaxaca- including chocolate
- Brews of the area from pulque to mescal
- The laid back vibe of the quiet beaches of San Agustanillo
- Much more including simply relaxing and soaking in Oaxacan life
