Copper and Baja

Our typical Copper Canyon train trips now include the incredible train experience in Copper Canyon and then the peaceful towns, remote beaches, and islands of Baja…all in one trip!

Many of our guests want to experience Copper Canyon and also the Sea of Cortez. So…we now offer the Copper Canyon trip by train AND Baja and the sea of Cortez- the laid back Baja scene, the crystal waters, the incredible wildlife, the tranquility of remote islands…its called relaxing.

First we spend four to six days rolling along the 400 miles of one of the world’s great railways. Guests fly into El Paso (ELP) or Chihuahua City (CUU). Then we head to Baja (just a 45 minute flight) and the options abound. Usually our home base is the cozy, artistic community of Todos Santos. From there (or La Paz or Cabo)  we can set sail exploring the desert islands of one of the most beautiful wilderness frontiers left in North America. Or we can wander the streets and take in the myriad art havens and restaurants. Or we can do what Baja is famous for- lay in the sun and do nada!

Baja is simply the best way to end your trip…exploring, discovering, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and simply relaxing by the pool or beach.

On the Sea of Cortez, anticipate encounters with whales, dolphins, sea lions, manta rays, stingrays, seabirds, and an amazing diversity of undersea life. Explore rocky shorelines, white sandy beaches, fossil beds, volcanic outcrops, coral reefs and cactus forests, just to name a few of the environments.

Our Copper and Baja itinerary is very flex and can include as many days in Baja as you like.
